I just picked up my pro and minus the issues already stated, I'm really enjoying the experience.
Anyhow, I'm looking to pick up a cheap microphone to loop some external audio. I'm not really looking to use the vocoder. Just something passable that can pick up a semi-clean sound. The emphasis being on "cheap" mind you.
And before I get any further, the Pro can record external audio through a microphone, correct?
Thanks and thanks.

I've complained about this mic in the past due to being too quiet. But hooked up thru the KPro, it is actually quite good. I'm no expert by any means but it is cheap!

Amongst other things, I have an autoharp that I'd like to throw into the loop mix, but I never bought a pickup for it.samartin wrote:I've complained about this mic in the past due to being too quiet. But hooked up thru the KPro, it is actually quite good. I'm no expert by any means but it is cheap!

@MR36
Those look really nice, but I'm in the U.S. I think the shipping would amount to more than the piece itself. Thanks though.
True. Shipping ain't cheap for small companies and individuals. Other than that, I recommend picking whichever microphones you can find at "$ stores" or whatever other cheap shops you have and just trying them out. You won't be able to compare them with pro stuff but you might be surprised that you find something that does the job.
Also, while on the topic of mics, I bought a Sony dictation microphone for 99p that I'm going to have plugged in the mic input for any claps, clicks and noises I want to make.

I decided to fly "cheap cheap" as a sort of quick test run and bought this.
http://www.amazon.com/Behringer-XM8500- ... 063&sr=8-2
It's durable and it works fine and everything I guess, but plugging it into the pro was another story. It could barely pick anything up and I primarily bought it to mic a few acoustic instruments that dont have pickups.
Pumping up the trim and the input volume only yielded some ugly white noise alongside the input from my instrument.
I ended up plugging it into the input audio slot on my microkorg which runs through an rc2 and then into the pro and it actually worked great. For whatever reason, I get a very clean sound doing so and also have the option to utililize the micro's small set of fx.
Whatever works, I guess.
