Yes - That's what I'm doing too - hence my constantly jumping back and forth
between Loop Length/Level mode and the Loop Recorder mode.

I've tried saving ALL with the levels turned down, then when I load All I have to hit a loop button on the groove,
then hit the others to turn them all on, then flip to the Loop Length/Level mode to fade or jump up the volumes -
though only one at a time - unless precise "finger-rolls" are employed.

I still need to develop a more-intuitive approach - or Korg could develop a way to still use the buttons for Loop ON/OFF
(like in the KP3) while in Loop Length/Level mode. Thanks in advance Korg!

Ah, fair enough. Well, it's not ideal but it will have to do. I doubt they're going to do anything about this. I doubt they'll do anything about any of it to be honest. But hopefully they'll sort at least some of it out.

We shall see...

I use the created KPro-clips to build up Songs in Ableton Live.

But it's very inconvenient to get them in there by saving to the proprietary KPro-Formats
and then export each bank to wav with the KPro-Editor.
It would be soo easy if there was a "Save all 4 Loops to wave-files"-Function on the KPro:
You go to the "Save"-menu and select something like "Al2Wv", then select the Slot 00 to 99
and 4 wav-files with the names <Slot><Bank>.wav are stored on the card.

For Example you select Slot 01 then the following wave-files are stored to the SD-card:
01a.wav
01b.wav
01c.wav
01d.wav
a,b,c,d are the loop-banks!
So with one save action you have 4 wav-files on the SD-Card, put the SD-card in your computer and drag them into your daw!
That's it!

I think this would be very handy! :D
Please put it to the wish-list!

It would be handy but wav files are LOADS bigger than the Korg PCM ones, I believe, so you wouldn't get many different loops on one 2GB card.
It would definitely be handy to have the converter inside the KPro too though.

No the KPro saves the files uncompressed.

I saved a Loop in the KPro-Format to Card.
Then I opended this with CoolEdit as a raw pcm file, stereo with 16Bit, 48kByte, and Motorola Byte order.
Then I had a clear, playable sound-file in CoolEdit, except the first few bytes which are the KPro-Specific-File-Header!

So it would make no bigger files if it would be possible to save all 4 loops to wav-files - but would be very handy since you need no USB-Cable-Connection, no midi-driver, no KPro-Editor to run - just read it with your computer from SD-card into your DAW!

I was going on the fact that the Korg files are much smaller than their equivalent wav files and so you can fit more Korg files onto a 2GB SD card than you can wav files on a card of the same size.

Start quantization for the four loops banks would be really helpful.

- Resample-Function like on the KP3, so you can attach the KPro-Effects to existing Loops (for example mangle an existing loop through the Grain-Shifter-Effect).

- Pad-Motion-Macro-Recorder, like the KP3 or better, could be also nice to play the exact notes (of a bassline, melody or solo) with different Sounds, or recall a melody-line.

- I really miss the KO-1-Arp-Patterns !!! With the new Fader/Switch-Method you cannot create the same cool solos like on the KO-1!

Please Mr. Korg, bring the arp patterns back and allow us to use the fader for switching live between the patterns.

Yeah! This is exactly what I thought of!
The old Patterns can be selected with the fader! So you can have the old Patterns AND you can use the fader to switch/mix the Patterns fast while playing on the Pad to create Hyper-Cool-Patterns!!!
PLEASE KORG!!!

+1 on the arp's

Unless im not getting it, the "Arp" is actually just repeating one note continually and allowing control of time or speed on the slider.

On my Kaossilator (non pro) theres a heap of arp/gate patters which give a lot of life to the little box, I cant believe there not in the pro version!

Is there some other way to have more varying arps I have not found yet? The manual does not go into much detail on it.

Also, does anyone know where the midi implementation chart is? The manual says its on the korg web site but I cant find it there.

Thanks,

John

Hi guys, I just wanted to let you know I'm still here, still listening, and passing along your ideas. Thanks for getting them into a concise format!

@ RichF

Any clues as to what might get done and what's not going to get done or at least what can be done?
