You could hook the KPro up to your interface via 2x phono to 2x jack cable (or via the headphone jack) and then record your playing into Reaper as you would any other line in instrument.

Or you could play about with th KPro record your parts as loops, save them, and then transfer the files over, convert them to wav in the editor and just drop them into Reaper.

This is the option I tend to favour, this way there is no chopping up of loops required. Great for repetitive loops, i.e. 16 beat drum loops, etc...

But for lead parts, then the 1st option of recording into Reaper is the way to go.

I invested in a small 4 track recorder and it's great, very easy to just jump on record and worry about altering layers in Reaper later.

Good luck

I was swinging through a few youtube vids, and I think you were the one with the micro-br, right?

How is it? I had it in my hand at guitar center a few weeks ago, ready to put the money down, but I chickened out. Is it worth the money? Easy to use, etc....

My laptop recently melted down so I dont really have any other means to properly record. I've been looking at used 4 tracks on and off lately, but I cant afford most of the offerings.

Hey Boognisher,

I really like the unit, I say go for it, I got mine for £80, I overlooked that it only works with batteries, having said that, if you get rechargables then it's a great unit. It does eat batteries!

Although I have downloaded a BR-900 utility that allows me to load the Hi-Fi track and export using the PC, this saves a lot of battery juice!

As for the unit, great, although I haven't sussed out track bouncing, but then I'm happy with 4 tracks currently. The guitar models are great, I'm thinking of selling my G21.u footpedal and Cube30. I prefer using headphones and not annoying the neighbours...

So in a nuthshell, go for it, I'm sure you will not be disappointed :)

Cool, man.
I just bought the Kpro a few weeks ago so my wallet's still recovering from that. As soon as it bulks back up though, I'll probably grab it.

I have a pretty wide assortment of instruments around here that I've been meaning to work into some actual recordings as well. How's the on board mic?

Thanks!

the onboard mic for the micro br, in my opinion, is incredible...i've done recording of a full drumset with only the onboard mic and was really impressed.

i picked up one of these for about 4 dollars online and the response got even better!

I've just bought one of those!

I bought it to stick in the mic input of the KPro. But it doesn't seem to work... I'm not sure why. Maybe you have an idea?

that mic requires a certain low voltage of phantom power...maybe the kpro send too much power? on the BR you have to turn on external mic power.

Ah, I did think it might have been something like that, though I was thinking that the KPro just wasn't supplying it with any power. Never mind. It was a nice idea. I was just going to use it for the odd little acoustic noise, such as claps or clicks or zips or whispers or whatever.
