Glitchy R3...lights going out

Post by Propaganda85 »

This is my second glitchy R3. My first one, the #1 edit knob froze up! Bought from Guitar Center, I simply took it back and got a direct exchange. The first week into the second unit and only played twice, bank select lights for lead, bell, arp and formant are all out. Some of the arpeggiator lights are also off. Sounds are all there OK though.

I like the R3, but am uncertain of what to do: take it back to GC for another exchange, or maybe a step up? Take it Korg for repair? Any thoughts much appreciated here. :) Walter

*note* the other day after it warmed up (I guess) for about an hour, the lights came on

take it back. theres a lot of problems with the r3 relating mostly to the plastic construction of them.if youve got s warranty through gc, use it.

Hey, thanks for chiming in on this: I really appreciate it: well it's gone, and I stepped up, if you will to the Roland SH-01. I know, plastic, though this synth has 3 oscillators on board lots of presets 64 voice poly. There's talk out there that it plasticy and cheap. Well, it sure doesn't look it! Doesn't have the software editor, though, and not multi-timbral. Sure feels like a vintage synth, though...Thanks! :) Walter
