BCR2000 & microKorg (Midi + SoundEditing)

Post by digilove »

Hello Profi!

Today i have idea, but dunno is it possible. I wanna edit my presets with Behringer BCR2000 thru MIDI interface. I found in soundedit software different midi commands assigns to different parts (pitch, filter, ADSR and more).

Today i try in ableton ... insert instrument microkorg, midi out from korg, but midi in from Behringer, assign in behringer right command, but its not working. Trouble - behringer connected to PC via USB, but microkorg connected to standart MIDI in my Firewire410.

So conclusion .... IF someone edit sound with ANY midi controller, tell me please how :) Thanx!

Can you plug the BCR2000 into MIDI IN on MicroKorg?

Can you plug the BCR2000 directly into the MIDI IN on the MicroKorg and assign all the knobs directly to different parametres for the MicrKorg, so you have instant access to different settings?

That would be awesome! I'd love to know if that works...?

How to set up a Behringer BCR2000 to control the MicroKorg

Post by muzboz »

OK, well I went ahead and bought a BCR2000, and set it up to control the MicroKorg parameters.

I explain how to do it in (possibly too much) detail here!
http://www.punknewwave.com/2010/06/how- ... 00-to.html

I'd love to know if there's a way to successfully send a Data Dump of the MicroKorg's current program's CC# values over to the BCR2000, so that all the lights and values update there. But I've tried doing it frmo the MicroKorg to the BCR2000, and I've tried making the Request Data Dump frmo the BCR2000 to the MicroKorg, and neither way seems to work.

Please do post how to do it if you figure it out!

Other than that, it works great! Makes the MicroKorg more like a MS2000R rack unit! Whoot!
