I have the Zero8.

It happens on my old Dell Inpiron 1520 XP64 and Win 7 64, I think its the sh!tty firewire companies use.
On my Qosmio F20 I have a TI firewire and it never fails me, but I run 32bit. It might be the 32bit OS but I really think its the Firewire chipset in the laptops.

My new MSI MS-1727 has the same Firewire chipset as the Dell I think and I can't get it to work on it(so FN mad).

I'll have to install a 32bit OS for the final test.

TIP WHEN YOU BUY A LAPTOP MAKE SURE IT HAS A TEXAS INSTRUMENTS FIREWIRE, TO BE ON THE SAFE SIDE.
