Kpro - BPM doesn't save?
Do all Kpro users have this issue, or is mine broken?
I can't load the BPM that I used to create a loop from the SD card, it doesn't appear to save this anywhere!

You're right. When you reload the loops the tempo they were saved at doesn't load as well. There is tempo information saved with your loops however. When you export them via the software, the original tempo is shown. It probably also is used to do the time stretching if you would want to play those loops at a different BPM.
It is quite irritating. Although, to me, not that bad, because I rarely save and load stuff. What is really annoying is the lack of even saving the settings (key, scale and scale range) after turning off. Instead, it just defaults to the key of C, the scale of Ionian and program-specific scale range every time you turn it on again. The KP3 saves its BPM from power down. Why can't the KPro save these things?
It won't wake up with a different tempo - but if you save your current settings into ALL [0] on your card, it will awaken in the key, root note and range you have chosen.Mr36 wrote:It is quite irritating. The KP3 "wakes up" with the last used tempo, if I remember rightly.
And do you mean that I'll have to manually load ALL [0] each time I power up? Or does it automatically load [0] from the card?
Also, I realise holding shift and pressing the load button and clicking through the menu to load the settings isn't difficult or strenuous work, I'd just rather not have to do it.

by program buttons you mean the "All 0-9" programs? are you able to recall the scale/key when you load those? i'm not.
even if it works with whatever is saved to All [0] thats still not that great considering you can only have one song saved along with its proper scale/key.
this business is my #1 complaint with this thing. it seems like an oversight that the save/load all doesn't work properly.

By Program Buttons, I mean the 8 square buttons at the top of the pad.
After you've chosen your sound, scale, key & range - press Write then the Program Button you want to save them in. (Repeat as desired.)
If you then Shift/Save [All] to [0] on your card, then the Program Button you have active on the KoPro when saving will define those settings when the machine is booted up.
You can save other Program Button sets using Shift/Save [Prog]
or Shift/Save [All] 1-9 to have or sets/songs available for loading,
though it is the All [0] that loads at boot.
