Few keys have a weird clicking sound

Post by songweaver84 »

i just got the SV1 and i noticed that there was a key or two that didnt sound like the rest of the keys.
this is when the keyboard is off. ie the metal clicking sound is heard when the key is pressed down.
is this something i should be concerned about?[/b]

noise

Not an issue with mine. I have the 88 key and no metal clicking noise, just normal quiet key thud. I would check to make sure those keys are operating properly. Test the sensitivity and sustain. If every thing is fine then I guess it would just be a minor irritation.

Heya,

I've actually got that issue as well...

Trying to remember on top of my head, it was the Eb in C3 (maybe?) for me...

the click does not sound as smooth as the rest.

its fixed!!

Post by songweaver84 »

this is a little late, but i got that metal clicking is sound fixed!

a few days after i posted this i was playing the korg and those very keys
stopped moving completely!! like something under it was preventing it from moving.
so i immediately took it back to the dealers and i was pretty furious,
you dont pay so much for a keyboard and have it act up like tht!!
i told them i wanted another piece and they said that this was the only piece available in india!! btw the piece that i got was the one they used for demos at different music expos around india...
so anyway they said they would check it out and the very next morning they called to say my keyboard is fixed!
apparently there was a "blade" lodged under the keys!
you know the those old skool shaving blades...
weird huh?? anybody heard tht story before?

anyway my guess is some charlie mustve used a blade to open the packaging and it slipped and fell between the keys and got lodged in there...
(thats the only thing that would make sense...)

so i got the same keyboard back (i had no choice) and it works like a charm!!

i thought i might add that since this piece was used as a demo the dealer sold me the piece for 1500$, due to cosmetic damage... (a few scratches one the plastic black area) the rest of it fine...

and man what a keyboard it is!!! every time im doin something else and i catch a glimpse of it from the corner of my eye... i just wanna leave whtever im doin and play around on it....
