Need a new EMX power supply - HELP PLEASE!

My EMX has been down for months. I need a new power supply, but simply cannot afford to pay £50 for one.

Is there a way to make one? Maybe cutting up a midi cable and a 9v supply could work?

I'm not too sure, but would really appreciate all help. Thanks!
