KaossilatorProEditor.exe - System Error
"The program can't start because CoreVideo.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem"
"The program can't start because CoreAudioToolbox.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem"
those are the errors i get when i try to open the editor.
i googled those items and they seem to have something to do with i-tunes, which i do not have installed on my system. is there a way to get these files, since they seem to be necessary to run the editor.

yeah i don't know what teh google is. it tells me now what it told me before: i have to install i-tunes on my computer in order to run Korg software. if that is the only answer, that is pretty lame, as i hate i-tunes and would never let it anywhere near my system

Why is that? I guess your going to have to find someone who does have itunes and do it there. Is there any logical reason why you dont have itunes or rather why your afraid of it... Is your HD too small?wetdentist wrote:yeah i don't know what teh google is. it tells me now what it told me before: i have to install i-tunes on my computer in order to run Korg software. if that is the only answer, that is pretty lame, as i hate i-tunes and would never let it anywhere near my system

why would i want to install a program, upon whose installation, automatically takes control of my media library without my permission? and why would a company such as Korg allow something like this to occur? and where is Korg official support? the website takes me to the page with manuals, downloads, etc but no phone number or email. it seems as if they rely on this forum for support, which seems to rely on snark and clever web tricks to belittle the new user of a $400 piece of equipment. what's up with that? i've read all the manuals, i've searched google. it's not like this on the Cakewalk, NI forums . . .

Just so you know, I was not trying to be condescending or anything like that.
I was trying to illustrate, probably in a bad way with hindsight, that a quick google would let you know what the offending file(s) was and that it wasn't anything to do with Korg.
Before I did the post I had a look for the dll on my pc (also without any iTunes BS) and couldn't find it, so I assumed it wasn't anything to do with Korg's software and probably something else on your system.
Maybe I should have been more explanatory in the first place.

I dont feel my answer was a smart ass answer....
I mean.. If you dont have itunes.. or do not want to install it... why sit and get no results for a workaround.. when you can find someone who does have itunes and do your update there?
especially... the fact that you answered your own question if the first post...

You probably don't need to install iTunes.
A lot of programs do use extensions provided by Apple QuickTime though, which comes with iTunes, but you can also download it separately.
Judging by the name of the DLL files, I think QuickTime may solve your problems.
