where did you order the knobs from
are they from DJ TechTools? they sort of look like the ones for the Vestax unit they support, I've thought about it, but haven't gotten around to it.
You have 2 emx's now? Sheesh, that's crazy stuff man.
Yes that is correct.. from DJtechTools...
the knobs all have a center part that can be taken out and rotated so the knob will be set correctly.
Now this next part im going to try and explain.. but this is just how I am.. some people are different in their approach..
Ill post some new pics soon...
anyways.. so Im sitting here making a total scheme for all my gear...
I picked white knobs for LEVEL/GAIN
I pulled the knobs off my kp pro and Kp pro and put white knobs..
on the elctribes I put 3 white at the upper left where there in the LEVEL for the main output, valve gain, and the audio in. And then also for the level for Part.
then I have the UV yellow and UV green. For any thing FX related I use the green.. So on the electribes I use green for the 2 parameters. I have an allen and heath xone 92 and xone 2d.. this gets green as well... so now to what I really wanted to say....
DJTECHTOOLS gets their knobs from a company in germany called djs-face... they have 6 or so different colored knobs on their site... but
thats not true entirely... if you email them ... they have a list of over 50 colors and a color chart....
but...
they are stupid expensive... like 5 dollars a peice.
so strangely enough... I ordered alot of white knobs from djtechtools and am using nail polish to make them whatever color I want.. and nail polish is an enamel paint... which means it goes on smoothly and is really resistant...
They have an option to put the info layer back on top.
I added the blood over the styleflip and the googly eyes.
to be 100 percent honest with you.... The colors on the style flip are not as bright because they take an rgb image and print that...
I should have known better... the right thing would have been some sort of adjustment to CYMK which I dont know how that would have worked with the final file being on their server.. and so on and so forth....
The guy from Styleflip said that the dpi makes a big difference in the quality also. Because they print in 600 dpi if the picture used isn't the same it will lose clarity and color.
Thanks!
I still have a bit more work to do with the new electribe... Ill be home in a week to quickly apply the styleflip and dump some more red nail polish all over it. (actually Im being ultra carefull to not let it fall into any cracks to cause future problems) The neon knobs I have to say make a huge difference in being able to find certain knobs I need to see quickly
Got a Tempest... So I decided to really go all out with my electribes
now Im just using the electribes to top off the main drums from the Tempest
psytrance versio
And this one I replaced all sounds with just horror sfx and movie samples
