Keyboard Stand Recommendations Needed
I'm looking for a small footprint / low profile stand that will safely hold an Oasys 88 and a Kurz PC3X.
Ideally I would want the O on the bottom with the touch screen fully open, and the Kurz on top, but back further, since it is much lighter and a great deal more narrow.
Also, something which can be quickly and easily set up and tore down would be a definite plus.
Any suggestions would be appreciated - pictures too if you got em.
Thanks
AJ

I'm a huge fan of the K&M Spider Stand: http://www.k-m.de/en/products/category/ ... 60-000-30/
Although I'm using it with a 76. It can theoretically hold an 88, I think, but double check the specs...

Nah, those rubber feet on the bottom are in case you have them on a (*VERY LARGE*) desktop or some other flat surface, mainly for protection. I have heard the spiders are quite nice also. +4 for the Spider.markuk wrote:I wonder are any of these stands any good. the oasys has five rubber feet on the bottom which its abvious they are made for it to stand on. but none of the stands allow this.

I've been a fan of Z style stands for quite a while. On Stage makes a good one that is as solid as a rock that is currently holding my O up. The size of the feet and the spread of them make accidental spills far less likely than other types of stands that are transportable.

What ever you do, DO NOT GET an X stand!

I have an 'X' stand, and i have 3 keyboards on it. The O is on the bottum, the Z1 is in the middle, and the V Synth GT is on the top.
I'm not getting much shaking going on...i'd rather be shaking with a woman, but...thats another topic and i wont go there.
lol

I'm using this:

It's as solid as it gets. I have one for live, one for studio, one for practice. I swear by them.

I am using the Spider, too. On top OASYS (88 ) underneath Yamaha's CP1. Was a bit sceptical at the beginning due to the heavy load, but it is stable and reliable.
I have photos and I can send you some. Let me know your address (PM?) and I will send them to you.
Peter
I remember you emailed some photos of your Oasys 88 resting on the Spider Pro. I purchased 2 of these stands this week for my 4 keyboards, but when I rested the Oasys on the bottom tier, I became extremely nervous.
The arms had to be extended the entire way to fit comfortably, and it was making me feel very uneasy. When it was just resting there, untouched, it seemed ok, but when I started playing some keys, the entire stand and arms began making some 'creaking' noises and I turned into a big chicken.
How many of you leave your Oasys 88 on the spider pro at all times? Have you ever had a problem? I need some reassurance.
Thanks guys

I had the OASYS on the Spider for quite a while and did not experience any problems. The arms have been extended the entire way, as you mentioned and it was reliable. But meanwhile I moved and also changed my setup: http://blog.petermmahr.com/2011/01/11/s ... otos-2011/
Now only CP1 remains on the Spider, working fine as well.

The K&M Spider Pro or the Ultimate Support APEX (either AX-90 or AX-48 Pro) will support two keyboard well. These stands are very similar with a multi-foot base, a single vertical column, and two sets of arms coming out.
Here are the Ultimate Support stands:

The newest Ultimate Support AX-90s come in a few colors that have automobile paint finishes
