1. Press 1 and 2 and Sampling while powering on the KP3.
2. PrLD will appear in the LED.
3. C will be on, D will be flashing.
(This is where Korg left me, after waiting and not seeing any change I pressed D. I know, genius!)
4. Press D.
5. urt will flash in the LED.
6. P.off will then appear in the LED.
7. Power off and on the KP3, enjoy factory reset goodness.

It resets all the preset effects, all the sample banks, all midi information, all settings you've changed etc. I've had to do it before when it got buggy and it worked like a charm. :]

Sorry, but I still don't understand the interest of this operation : resetting the initial affectation of the eight, resetting a midi channel : it takes a few minutes to do it by hand.
So, what do you mean by "all settings you've changed" ? what is the list of parameters resetted ?

I set and reset the 8 preset buttons all the time :]
