Did something weird to kp3 and cant figure out how to fix it

Post by pizzahutgood »

I just got my kp3 today and was messing around with it and somehow i made it so every time i use the drum or synth programs they have a heavy delay sound to them. decreasing the bpm decreases that rate of delay, but i cant figure out how to disable this. Im not sure how i enabled it in the first place, i was messing around with the shift, tap, and program buttons so i must have done something there. MAN DOES THE MANUAL SUCK! Might as well have been one page long explaining how to put a sample into one of the four banks and then said, "figure the rest out by your f**king self."

Does anyone know what i may have done and how to reverse this. I tried just turning it off and then back on but that didnt work. I also tried messing with the fx release function but that didnt work either.

Any advice would be appreciated. I'll probably be messing around with it tomorrow to try to figure it out.

As far as I remember (sold the KP3 several weeks ago), the delay starts to work only when you move your finger across the upper part of the touchpad, the lower part produces drums or synths without delay. Guess you figured that out by yourself anyway. Possibly you had some drum sounds on the lower end of the touchpad when you just started to play with it.

I sold mine, because I had some trouble with the sampling section only. The effects are great, also the drums and synths.

Have fun.

...Mate I could swear I did exactly the same thing???

...so annoying the last thing i wanted was an annoying delay tail messing things up...any one no if this is just the way it is or can it be switched off?

on another note does anyone know how to make the kp3 control hardware/software synths? i.e. drawing midi info of some kind into a DAW...namely Logic

Happened to me too.

I guess it's because of the FX-release? But I can't seem to adjust it back to no delay.

Has anyone done it and know that it works?

I press shift

Pull the slider down

Press write
Press write

Like it says in the great manaul that came with this thing.
Am i doing it right? Does anyone know?

Hold the shift button down and lower the fx release slider at the same time.
however you can not adjust the release on effects with a dleay in them.

This really makes the synth sounds useless... Should be a way to turn it off.

FX release is, as the name implies, only part of effects. Drum and synth sounds and not effects and just have this delay on them. Rubbish, but there you go.
