JUst an SSD disk will be enough... they load with 200 MB/s, so it will only take 20 secconds to load up 4GB of Sample ram. MAke that 10 secconds if i use 2 of them in a Raid configuration. And then you could use direct from disk playing for your Audio styles without any delay.musicrazy wrote:I think Nedim is joking with us. but i hope korg put on pa3xpro 2 or 3 giga of flash memory like in the new motif xf ... or tyros 4. With this type of memory you don't have to wait for sample loading on boot because the samples are allways there ready to play.... i want some audio loops on acc. like guitars and basses ...
It looks nice, doesn't it???

You are right, if it was in Raid0 it would be fast as hell.Bachus wrote:JUst an SSD disk will be enough... they load with 200 MB/s, so it will only take 20 secconds to load up 4GB of Sample ram. so it increases general memory and number of samples...does it also increase the number of pages for sounds and styles , so we can load multiple different sets at once...that would be very useful since combining different sets in korg has been a painful experience... it would be even better to specify pages for each set...pages for set 1 and pages for set 2 in a new OS modification...

If all this is possible after market sale then why doesnt Korg officially release an upgrade package or something with extra ram. I know they want to add that in the newer board and sell those but may be if they also keep this as an option say $300 or so i guess they might just make more money out of this
