KP2 clicks at loop start

Post by monstereo »

Anyone else having this problem with their KP2? Whenever I make a sample and loop it (hold), the sample makes a serious click sound every time the start of the loop comes around again. Very not soothing. It wouldn't be a problem so much if the click was hiding behind a massive bass drum but its synth loops im doing, and the click is very obvious. Please help! Suggestions?
Thank you...

I believe the most likely cause for such a problem is actually "user error" and not a fault of the KP2. I'd guess that you're starting the recording of the sample a little bit late and so cutting off the "nose" of the waveform, resulting in the clicking you're hearing.
From my memory of the KP2 though, the sample banks when looped weren't the smoothest but you should be able to get round this.

Ya there's also wierd stuff happening like the loops are getting mysteriously deleted without turning the machine off, and sometimes the rec/stop button doesn't work. Just wondering if any other KP2 users out there had some similar glitches. I hope you're right, mr36. I hope it is my fault. Korg has always been a quality brand of gear. I'd hate to think they made such glitchy stuff in abundance.
