Best lens for detailed close up's?

Post by mikemolloyuk »

Hi Guys

I'm new to SLR photography and want to get a lens that I can use to take pictures really close up but still have the detail and pixel resolution that the camera offers.

Anyone got any advice on this?

Hi Mike.
100MM Marco Lens are the most popular choice as they are good for all round macro photography. For example, if you want to explore the insect world in the summer times, you can get very close to them, but not too close that Bee's and insects would fly away.

You can easily get a 1:1 shot of them with a 100MM lens. Going for a smaller MM means you have to get much closer to get the same 1:1 shot.

Regards
James.

Thanks Sharp

I'll have a look at the prices on them and see if my accountant (wife.!) will let me get one..
