I'm having the same issue. I plug a quarter inch into the line out on my emx1 and the other end (1/2 inch with the stereo split) into the line in on my pc/mac. All my other keyboards can record this way, EXCEPT my emx. Why? I've tested this with a few different DAWs. It simply will not send a hot signal to record into a DAW.
I'm not talking about MIDI, mind you, but audio recording. Why would my other keyboards work with the same setup, but not the emx?
There must be some setting somewhere that is blocking the signal. Or perhaps there are electribes out there with bad outputs.

you say you've used the line out ... are you using the L or R output? it should be L if you're only using one. are you sure you haven't routed parts to the indiv outs, 3 and 4?
if the headphone output produces sound when you put phones in it, but not when you connect it to your computer, I think the problem is with the computer not the electribe

I've tried all combinations. All my other gear records just fine, in the same way I'm trying to hook up the emx. I'm going to take it to guitar center today and see what they can show me.Pastor-of-Muppets wrote:you say you've used the line out ... are you using the L or R output? it should be L if you're only using one. are you sure you haven't routed parts to the indiv outs, 3 and 4?
