Problem with the x-y pad korg zero8

Post by Foldable disco »

I have a problem with the x-y pad on the korg zero8. It's working fine till a sudden moment it appears that the y axis of the pad isn't responding anymore. Does anyone have any experience with this problem? The problem seem to appear when the unit gets warm, or is the x-y pad broken?

thanx.

Dealt with it for the last couple months on and off. Y pad seems to stop reacting to touch properly. Mine sometimes starts to work after being on for a while. I have a fan placed behind the mixer, seems to be a issue with heat some say, but I think a lot are starting to see this same issue more. Korg says its not common, mixer is discontinued and recommended just sending it to an authorized repair shop, I've yet to do this as I feel they will just replace the LCD and never really address why its happening. Anyone else?
