i love it

i love this machine. every time i play it, i learn something new. one thing that is certain though, you have to tweak the hell out the presets to get what YOU really want, but the tools that are at your disposal to do this are unbelievable. But im not knocking the presets, some of them are really good.alot of people are knocking the m50 on here, but i personally think the problem they have is they want instant gratification, and lack patience. i remember my first keyboard, a crappy little yamaha. but i mastered it, learned it inside out and overcome its limitations. i was probably more creative on that than the newer stuff i got. i think people now want every thing done for them. I personally rarely use the pre sets as they are. I think this keyboard is the nuts, and i have put together some very good recordings with it. And yes, even with its so called crappy sequencer. Ive had the MPC drum machine, but i would rather use the m50 for programming drums any day of the week, the possibilities are endless. Dont underestimate this machine, its more powerful than what you think

Likewise. I love how the sounds can be customised so much in combi/seq mode. I particularly love adding more drive and applying effects. Changing the polyphony mode (mono to poly or poly to mono) or turning off one of the oscillators in a program are also things I do regularly.

Much better than My Yamaha M08. Loved the sounds, but the lack of sound customisation in pattern/song mode (when editing from a computer) was awful. I found it pretty much unworkable - even the channel effects can't be adjusted. It's basically a preset player.

I'm loving it to, after two months I'm really starting to understand the ways of this keyboard, and still need to really take advantage of the various LFOs and the AMS mixers. Wonderfull effects though, and the eq. settings for each individual program in Combi mode is excellent.
But the sequencer is a little stubborn, but haven't dig it yet.

Overall, works amazing in live situation, people says that my band sounds different since I have it, such an amazing compliment.
