MIDI question...

Hey folks! I'm brand new here so please be gentle 8^/

I just picked up a TR which I absolutely love after working on all my old gear. A couple of MIDI questions though:

Here is a link to a MIDI file I made years ago with a Roland JV-30:

When the file loads it automatically send some sysex messages over MIDI to do a GM reset and then set levels for the Chorus and Reverb levels (at least I think that's what it does... I can't remember now 8^(

Anyway, the TR does not seem to respond to these hex strings and my MIDI files are dry and flat, *unless* I first do a MIDI reset on the TR and then everything is all wet and sexy like it's supposed to be.

So... does anyone know the equivalent sysex messages for the TR or can you point me to a resource which well help me learn all this stuff again?

Thanks, but I have all the documentation and it stinks!

I can't for the life of me figure out what the hexidecimal code is to send a GM reset to the TR over MIDI. The details are on page 240 of the Parameter Guide, but I can't make heads or tails of it...

Anyone?

So... I never editing a GM reset sysex message in hex mode.
If I send GM reset message from my CME UF (by pressing 2 button) or from my I5M the TR is respect it if the TR in SEQ mode.
The TR is use the standard general MIDI messages. I'm sure in this, becouse I use my CME potis for adjusting cutoff, resonance, attack, decay, mfx1 amount, mfx2 amount... not just the TR's potis.

Are you sure that: the linked midi file is use GM messages, not Roland GS messages?

One more tip, but I'm noz sure it's relevant....

Do you enabled the sysex messages on the TR in GLOBAL mode / MIDI page?
