Awesome.
I have one question, though. In the picture called "It fits. Looks purty" I can see many electronic things, like condensers and resistors. Are they needed? Do you have a part list for those?

that was AFTER I removed it from a PC power supply. Turns out you can't buy those female jacks at Radio Shack or Menards. I removed those but didn't take a pic. If you look later where you see the final thing soldered up (power adapter mounted), you'll notice those are removed.
Sorry.

The Korg SP-250 has the same keybed as the M50-88 and that's a cheap digital piano. I know they're great keys, but how can they put them in cheap piano's?McHale wrote:the M50-88 is a whole different animal. It uses the M3 keybed which ISN'T cheap in any way and it's manufactured in Japan where the 61 and 73 are made in China. I also don't see the keybed alone being profitable and it would cost the consumer QUITE a bit of money if such an upgrade even existed.
The Yamaha P85 is about the same as the SP-250 and that has lousy keys, while the Yamaha MO8, the Korg's competitor, has one of Yamaha's best.
i just "fapped" all over my keyboardMcHale wrote:ahhhhh newbies. Almost begging to get flamed. Welcome to the internet Critica1. You should have mom or dad sit with you for a while.
Until then, please be quiet. Grown ups are talking...

p.s The term for what you just did is called "trolling." It's also not considered humorous or welcome.

Radias is sexiest when "turned on"
Noisy keys
Some keys of my M50 have started to keep some clicking / rattling noise. Do you have the same? You thing that tightening some screws would help.
as keybeds wear in, they will make a little more noise. I wouldn't worry about it. But tightening screws related to the keybed could put stress on the keys that could cause them to break.
I'd leave everything alone until a more significant problem occurs. You should be fine...

Wonder if memory chip removable? Would be good to burn better piano samples instead of standard...

This would be basically impossible.
But, I spent a few hours last night JUST working with the M50 pianos and the samplesets to choose from are quite good actually. There are a couple progs that with a little tweaking are damn near perfect for most situations or music types.

Well, I spent couple of weeks tweaking too, then....get used , but from time to time feel like it should be better, to support my inspiration
