Can't happen, different samples in both boards, and M50 doesn't have a sampler.

Look for NS5r or NX5r Rack units - same wave forms = same sounds. If you've used N-series in past and have favorite patches these should be compatible (NX is the better of the two).

You'd still need tp work out slaving the N-rack to your M but you'd be getting the EXACT sound you're looking for and not a compromise.

Sorry to hear of your predicament. Those strings sounds are really great, I HAD to have them on my M3 but the only way I could do it was to sample them off of the older keyboard (01/W) and load the samples into the M3. If you decide to go with the N-series Module (NS5R, NX5R), keep in mind it doesn't have a sequencer, just a "multi mode" that receives MIDI data through the MIDI cables and plays on all 16 channels. You would have to hook it into the M50 and play it through the module. Good news is that all of the N-series modules have all of the programs from the N364. They are pretty much backwards-compatible with the N364 and can make any sound the N364 can, without having to worry about PCG files.

No you can't use SNG files with the N-series modules, since they have no sequencer. You should save all your SNG files into standard MIDI files and then you can load them into your M50. If it were me though I'd just MIDI the M50 to the N364 and use both. GL with your dilemma.
