Saving Assignable Switches

Hey guys,
Switches 1 and 2 on my PA800 are set to "Ritaradando" and "Off" by default. I would like to assign the "Quarter-Tone" and the "Global-Scale" to switches 1 and 2 by default. I would like that to be the case every time I power on the machine and lock it so it does not change by selecting an STS or a performance. Is that possible? I tried to do a global save but I keep losing these changes every time I turn the machine on.

Make sure the assignable switches Lock is set to on. Global-General Control-Lock.

So unlock this, set your switches, save Global, then set the lock switch to on, save global.

This is the method I use with no issues.

Here is another suggestion.

Any settings that I use all the time (switches, EC5, split point etc.), I assign and save these to performance #1. That way, every time I power up the keyboard, it defaults to the initial settings. I also lock certain settings based on how I use these in my performance.

I am back to this topic because I need to know if it is possible to save the assignable switches options in the different modes of the PA2X. I'd like to have for instance some effects on the sounds in style mode and something like selecting just bass and drum tracks and txt view in song mode.
I'd also like to know if I can save different parameters for the EC5 pedal controller in the different modes... Any tips?

Yes you can do this...

again make sure your locks are on...

Style Mode
Load perf 1, bank 1 set your assignable switches (or in fact ANY setting from the Menu pages) then also use the Write Global-Style Setup (it is from the drop down box top right of screen).

Song Mode,
same procedure, load performance 1 but when in song mode - set up your assignable switches, (or in fact ANY setting from the Menu pages), then using the same drop down box but this time choose Write Global-Song Play Setup

Then when ever perf 1 is selected all those preferences will auto load..but remember they are there for EVERY style or song!!

Far better to have them unlocked and have individual assignable switches for each song or style...as they CAN be saved in a STS and/or Songbook entry

The only thing I have locked, is the split point, and the fill modes.....

But ymmv!!
