There is no such video.ozy wrote:Hey, look at this.
Somebody posted on harmony central a youtube clip by a certain famous synth producer.
I translated it from Japanese. It says:
Ozy, you need to realize that not everyone here has English as their first language. Therefore some will not understand that you were trying to be funny.
Personally, I didn't think it was funny at all.

Assuming the post you made from a Japanese producer associated with Korg and Kronos is genuine, I feel the following must be said -
There is no video. Ozy made the whole thing up.
Even if there was such a video, there is no way that person would be in any way associated with Korg.
Sponsored artists all understand their role; they either say nice things about a product or don't say anything at all.
Ozy seems to enjoy his role as pissing on the enthusiasm some people have for a new product.
Ozy, you seem to have some underlying hatred toward Korg (regardless of how many Korg products you may have owned). How about dialing it down a bit, or at least wait until the product is released before you take a crap on it?

But they DID release new waveforms worth of hundreds of dollars for free that other companies sell as expensive add ons, they did Karma updates and rework the sequencer, which is now by far the best hardware sequencer with a little help of touch screen. What else you could expect from a synth, that wasn't promised to have anything more than what it already had? Very admirably generous behaviour from this big, faceless company, in a very tight market, that is full of Motifs and other cheap cash ins, that concentrate to sell newly, for a yet another time sampled waveforms to be played with such a limited synth engine. Vain waste of money...theirs and ours.cminor wrote:I hope Korg won't make the Kronos Commercials as Yamaha with Tyros 4:

Now serious.
Looking back at the M3/Oasys "support" , how can a possible owner of the Kronos "trust" that the support will not be the same as it "was" on M3 ?
Who is going to invest xxxx $/Euro in Kronos whitout the promise of a new age of workstations with a good support ?
I hope from all my heart that korg will release something new for M3 too.
Otherwise, the trust in "future" releases will be zero...
Oasys was heavily supported, even if not quite enough for 7000$ paying customers tastes ofcourse. But they still got, and still have, the best, the most versatile and powerfull synth there is. Thats quite a feature for a digital device of its age.
I think, if Kronos indeed is such an upgradeable device, we can expect it to have at least enough support for a couple of years, I mean I'm guessing, even the worst case scenario would satisfy our most necessary needs, which I'm guessing wont happen for another time, since even something as ambitious as Oasys 2 wouldn't cost that much novadays.
You are missing something.MartinHines wrote:how many Korg products you may have owned
I don't just "have owned" many (most) Korg instruments.
I own NOW, I recently (1 years and 1/2) bought a full-accessoried M3 88 + radias, I bought third party libraries for it, I created patches for it, I tried to get its many bugs fixed and got nixed,
and I have been evaluating for months buying an Oasys88. I hadn't yet abandoned the idea.
So I was hit by a bullet and I barely dodged another.
I am not pissing on what is new at NAMM. I am pissed at what is NOT at NAMM:
maintenance and continuity of my investment.
As for the "talk good about it or shut up": I have been in the Army, many years. I know discipline.. If I'm allowed to speak, Sir.
But Korg is my tools supplier, not my Country or my Flag. I'll speak my mind whenever I please.
As for "enthusiasts": it is enthusiasm about... what?
I'll respect opinions after jan 13th.
Until then I am spoofing wild theories and hype, not opinions or facts.
For example:

You need to start a new thread where you can do all that. This thread is not the place. Lets at least keep this one running on topic which is for talk related to the KORG KRONOS.
So start a new thread where you can have a title direct to your issue, and lets run with that.
Cheers
Sharp.

I own both, an M3 and Motif, and the only machine that smokes like hell is the M3. I haven't even turned on the Motif for weeks. Let's see how the KRONOS will burnhengteets wrote:Dream on Sphincter Boy, the Motif STILL smokes the M# and anything short of the OASYS.

Don't worry, your posts and behaviour were all ok, and not offending at any time. Sometimes you just don't know when you enter the jungle.kimu wrote:i will appreciate any personal remarks from anyone on this forum in case someone feels to tell me that my behavior or post or anything else i do in the forum is in same way "hurting".

Interesting, I actually guessed it.ozy wrote:I have been in the Army, many years. I know discipline

Hi Ozy.ozy wrote:ok, ok, sharp,
I will shut up until NAMM, and leave your love dreams go unbridled.
After NAMM we will read back these pages.
And I'll feel free to comment.
I didn't tell you to shut up, I told you to start a new thread. You clearly have different matters you feel that need to be addresses which don't relate to this thread about the KRONOS.
So go start a new thread. I'm not in anyway telling you to shut up.
Regards
Sharp.
The Radias was discount. There are no any "radias" pages on korg.com. Also "Radias" isn't in list of korg synth.
So, It will brand-new VA-synth, in some acpects next "radias 2". I think it will combine different technologys - like advanced seq, hybrid synt engine, analog elements also could be.
Also it could have new controllers with LED-segments.

I was expecting part 8 of the teaser by now...
I remember KORG had a teaser for the OASYS, but I can't remember if there was one for the M3?
Anyway, after a dead boring NAMM last year and a not much better NAMM before that it's nice that this year's NAMM looks to be much different.
I also wonder if KORG is going to continue their Legacy software line. That would be very nice indeed.
