Just giving my two cents on this...
Triton is biggest moon of Neptune as well as being a god in greek mythology.
Kronos, however, is greek equivalent to Saturn (god and a planet) as well a greek god (actually father of Zeus).

so:
Triton is a moon, Kronos is a planet
Triton is a lesser god, where Kronos is the father of Zeus who is a head of Olympus.

Kronos = new workstation in the spirit of Triton but improved to completely new heights!

Cello - I haven't bought either yet. I've decided to wait. Not sure if you've heard but apparently Korg are releasing some amazing new product called the Kronos? Lol

Sharp - good thinking. But would you risk travelling back in time and changing the course of your own future? You could risk tearing a hole in the time space continuum!

I have just discovered that Kronos is not the name of the product that Korg are releasing.
Kronos and nine are actually clues to the location of the new product.

Anyone fancy a roadtrip?

No, it's a multi-purpose loader that makes great noise.

Joke aside, I guess Kronos is "the wolf", a successor of the M3, a modular, expandable workstation with powerful musical phrase/sound generation e.g. KARMA version 3. Otherwise it would be a misnomer.
It's definetely not a watch or time machine as some people think and shouldn't be confused with Chronos.

Edit: I need to correct myself. The Kronos is a vacuum cleaner.
The proof. Excerpt from the feature list:
- professional instrument
- wet & dry and liquid sounds
- professional hooks
- by-pass filters
- stage mode
- powerful
- sound pressure 71 dB(A)
- incredible storage capacity: 9.26 gal
... but compared with the M3, it sucks!

Well there is a strong posiblity that KARMA is in this thing because someone over at karma-labs asked, about a month ago, when will he be releasing some new karma combi's for the oasys and stephen replied he had been toooo busy working on something else. The kRoNoS?
