Cool ass modded electribes

Post by thenoiseybeast »

Hey everyone, I'm an oldschool forum lurker (going back at least 2 years) and this is my first post here.

I've been in the process of modding my electribes with replacement clock oscillators. This allows for tempo independent pitch shifting and for a MUCH lower-fi sound on the inputs. I just finished an ER-1 and an ES-1, but these videos are of an EM-1, ER-1 and an EA-1.

These're just proof of concept, not performances so I use the presets.

Every instrument went through the electribe. The electribe was fitted with one of the mentioned pitch mod crystals so it allowed for dramatically reduced sampling rate.

Really, really cool. Never saw this one before. Ease of install?

Relatively easy, but you've got to be handy with a soldering iron.
