I'm just wondering if those prices will translate to regional currency. If so the price for pa3x-76 in the UK will translate to
3,999.00 USD = 2,520.17 GBP.

That would be a good place to bargain from. I hope this does happen and not the same as Yamaha do and hammer the Brits as usual

Yep - good question Keith

For Oz it is usually multiply by 2, add a bit and put an Aussie $ sign in front of it - Oh!! and that applies to everything - not just keyboards!!!

(Probably still get one....)

Don't forget you'll need to add VAT on to that. So your 2520.17 becomes more like £3024. Not such a great deal now!

Hi Pete, I don't think at this stage I will go for one for several reasons and the main one being the sampling issue and not being able to review styles on usb. Something also the Colour, I think it looks tacky and I don't think I'd like to sit there for hours looking at it. I think in reality the price will be prohibitive also in the UK. I don't think korg have listened to the majority of Users and what they would have liked to see on a new model keyboard and available in May- another third of a year away. You can bet Yamaha will jump in here with a new psr s9?? which will include Tyros 4 features. I personally think the new pa3x won't inspire many pa2x Users to upgrade or tempt away people from other manufacturers. Maybe Users on pa80/1x and 800 may upgrade. JMHO.

Hi Keith,

Just out of interest, if you didn't already own a pa2x do you think you would but the pa3x?

I know you say it's not worth upgrading, but is it worth buying if you don't already own a similar keyboard?

I really want one, but it's a lot of money if it's not really that great,

Hi Emma, The pa is a fantastic keyboard and especially the pa3x has better features like the new EQ system and VH and more comprehensive styles. The Gimmicks like mp3-G and vocal remover I can well do without and I think the development time and cost spent on them would have been better used on improving the Sampling capabilities and loading of samples and increasing Ram to achieve that plus other things. As a new User I'm sure that you will get a great deal of satisfaction from pa3x. For me and what I do on pa it doesn't do anything extra for me for the extra cost involved in upgrading. I'm not knocking the pa keyboards and I would still recommend pa to people that just want to sit and play as it inspires you. It's just that pa3x doesn't do it for me as yet. Perhaps while it's still in development stage new things will be added and that's why I'm stating what I feel as there is still time to alter things in the software at least, maybe the hardware also. :)

Hi Emma

Apologies if I am wrong but I assume from your previous comments that you currently do not own a Korg arranger.

If so, I would answer your question to Keith above by saying that I think the PA3X would be an awesome first purchase BUT so would the PA2Xpro and I think there will be a few second-hand ones around fairly soon (a lot cheaper than a new PA3X)

Just a thought....

Thank you both for your great advice. I was going to buy a pa800 but heard that Korg were announcing some new releases at Namm, so I decided to wait. I'll definitely wait and see what the actual price of the pa3x will be before making my decision. If the price of the pa2x goes down enough then it will be an easy decision to make. Personally, I wouldn't buy a second hand keyboard unless it was from a shop, as if you buy it from a private seller then you never know what you're getting.
