I just ordered that bag, but it hasn't arrived yet. Seems to do its job.
I know its bit big for R3 but i have kp3 and SP-404SX to go with it.
There is smaller bags too.

My budget is pretty low at the moment but I needed something more protective so I went for this one;

Yeah it's Stagg, and it's not designed for the R3, but it does fit pretty damn well! Also due to its design for guitar effects pedals, the lid is removable, and the synth sits nicely on the thinner base, whilst remaining playable and keeping the back panel accessible. I actually found this has made the synth sit more securely on my standard X stand, because it makes the surface area a little bit bigger, and the synth doesn't slip on the case's internal foam. You could pay a lot more for a custom flight case for the R3 but it's going to cost you the best part of £100, if not more. This one fits nicely, and the synth barely moves when in the case. There is a little space lengthwise, but that's actually good because you can fit the power cable in there with a little persuasion ;)

R3 dimensions
635 (W) x 270 (D) x 76 (H) mm
25.00" (W) x 10.63" (D) x 2.99" (H)

Case Dimensions
688 x 296 x 83 mm
27 x 11,6 x 3,3 in.

I built a case that holds my R3 out of 1x2s and some 1/4 inch paneling. Cheap and durable solution if you are handy at all.

Here's a picture of it.

That's cool, I was thinking of building a custom made but i'm pretty amateur when it comes to DIY plus I needed a case asap. You gonna paint it up, make it look a bit prettier? I saw a guy (possibly off this forum) who had added wooden panels to the end of his R3 and it looked awesome!

I still have to add a hole on either side so cables can come in and out, but don't have a 2 inch drill bit and am trying to find someone who does so I dont have to hand cut it. The top is painted a flat black and is with an artist friend of mine's to have custom art done on it.

I also have one that holds my EMX-1, KM-2 mixer, and KP3. Soon to come one for the Radias-R and one for my APC40 and APC20.

It really only requires basic construction skill, time, and minimal tools. its just a basic box frame of 1x2s. It's heavy but that's because I built it to be sturdy. I can stand on the case frame without worry. If you have any basic questions I'd be glad to help. I recommend building custom cases over trying to get a case that'll work. You can design in storage space, as on right side of the R3, lift the instruments up, as I did because tables always seem to be too low for comfort. All for cheaper than buying one, not counting your time.

Believe it or not- the Electro-Harmonix pedal bag holds the R3 perfectly. PERFECTLY. I had gotten my R3 for my birthday, then got this case for Christmas, and I love it!

I modified this "takedown shotgun" case, removed inner foam and added some adhesive felt. It's not flight ready, but good protection for the price.

I have the Nord G2 gig bag. It's the same size as the R3, though I'm sure the bag is no longer in production at this point. I remember having to wait nearly like six months for it to arrive from Sweden, but I was able to order mine without the Nord logo printed on it. Awesome bag though. Thick and furry inside. Did three years of gigs having it bounce around in the trunk of a car with other gear with zero problems.
