Korg NanoPAD trigger sound effects

Post by jdscranton »

I am new to MIDI controllers and wanted to know if the Korg NanoPAD could trigger sound clips, sound effects and other audio files from my DAW.

That entirely depends on the functionality in your DAW or what plugins you have. A MIDI controller like the nanoPad just sends 'note on' messages, or 'controller change' (value) messages. Its up to the software what to do with that.

Any idea of what DAWs I can use that will allow that functionality? I'm using Logic currently, but am not sure of any way to do that.

Also, do you know of any inexpensive MIDI foot controllers out there?
