Music Stand for Kronos?

Post by robinkle »

Is it possible to add a Music Stand on to the Kronos?(A stand to hold paper with musical notes on). Like on the Nord Stage. I challenge Korg to answer. :o

My guess is no, without actually modifying the hardware itself

if you study the image there is nothing there to hold the paper on

But im using this myself:

I guess you are right. Though I need a Music stand to hold my Piano Lesson books. Strange Korg didn't think about this, Kronos has so many ways to be used. Even my Yamaha DX7 had a Music Stand.

I have a big 24"monitor behind my current keyboard... And read my sheet music digitally from self made PDF's... All you need is a scanner, and no more sheet music falling of the stand...

Offcourse i can also controll my DAW through that same screen...

Music stands are so oldfashioned.. Tough still every keyboard deservers to have one (as they come in very handy as cheep ipad stands)

Kronos really deserves one:
1. Best piano sound korg ever made.
2. Best Piano Keys Korg ever made.
3. No place for the notation...

For future use I could use my computerscreen for reading notation, but not when I do the piano lessons, It's a thick book and I'm not temptedto scan it. Need a scanner then. :P I also have to find the right positioning(height) for the keyboard for comfortable piano play and at the same time have the screen in front of me. Need to find a solution there.

You could always get a nice Quiklok Z-stand (have one here: love it), which offers a whole raft of optional accessories -- including a nice sheet music holder:

http://www.quiklok.com/catalog/?p=produ ... Name=QLX-5

Really, if you're going to make the big investment on the Kronos, you could spend a tad bit more for a big, heavy-duty, professional stand with all the bells and whistles...

I would love to see a music stand option for workstations, but for some reason manufacturers don't think it necessary.

Kurzweil used to offer a music stand option with the PC2 keyboards but dropped that feature in the PC3 series. Korg and Yamaha offer music stands with the arrangers and home pianos, but not with workstations.

I think you are stuck with a traditional stand like this:

I see Manhasset also offers a wall-mount stand:

Or a desktop stand:

I guess I need to stick with those. They don't look too bad at all :)

I can too put the keyboard infront of my computerscreen but the keyboard will be too high up from the floor. I need to solve my practical issues here. :)

I wouldn't expect cup holder the same way as a musical stand.
On nord Stage this is an option which is nice for those who needs it.
The Nord stage just got two holes ready for the stand to be in place.
No advanced engineering needed. :)

Music Stand

Post by fcoulter »

My Kronos 88 sits on a Spider Pro stand from König & Meyer(http://produkte.k-m.de/en/Keyboard-stan ... k-anodized). I then attached their sheet music holder (http://produkte.k-m.de/en/Keyboard-stan ... -Pro-black) for my music. It works well for me.

They also sell a laptop holder and mike stand if you're interested. Both attach to the top.

While Sweetwater stocks the stand, I had to special order the music holder from them. The special order was quick, and they didn't charge me freight. (If you shop around, you might get a cheaper price.)

If you are really really careful you can use a drill to make holes in the top of your Kronos and probably find the exact hardware to mount a stand onto the top of your Kronos!

Just like the modification people do with their brand new iPhone 7!

Please don't drill holes in your Kronos!
If music is the food of love, play on and play loud!

Who reads paper sheet music anymore?

Get an iPad Pro and run some score software and get one of these:
http://www.americanmusical.com/Item--i- ... oCm2nw_wcB

so much better than flipping pages. I use a foot pedal to turn pages.

Has revolutionized my workflow.
