Turn off velocity control Korg Tr76

Post by fritzroy1515 »

Edit: Found out how, there are 2 ways.

1) The global way: Go to Global, then raise the Velocity Curve to 8. This will make the touch sensitivity/velocity sensitivity go away

2) Per PROGRAM [NOT COMBI] editing. You need to open the program, MENU->AMP, then set the Velocity Intensity to 0 in both the first and the 2nd tab.

Obviously any COMBI using this will change as well.

Hope this helps someone :)

Edit: I'm referring to a way that works specifically for each comb/prog [found the global curve one ] But for separate combis when I bring up the menu, there's no AMP option where I can edit the curve.

Many apologies if this has been answered, could only find this answered on these forums for the M50.

I play a lot of synth strings that I just need a constant steady volume for no matter how hard I hit the keys. I fiddled around and found the VELZ option that let me set top and bottom velocities but that does exactly the opposite of what I need.

Thanks again,
Paul

Sometimes you'll find that the velocity switches oscillator waveforms (samples) too.

You need to change the value in the top right hand corner of each Oscillator multisample page. Can't remember the name of it, but this is the switchover velocity. Depending whether you prefer the softer or louder multisample, you might want to set it to 127 (always triggering the lower sample) or 001 (always triggering the Hi sample) respectively.

You may also want to check the filter pages. Again, a lot of patches will open up the filter more when you play harder. There is a hardwired patch for velocity to envelope (EG) amount (for cutoff). So you may want to change that to zero and add on its value to the EG Int value, if you want it to play at full velocity all the time.
