Kontrol49 Blues

Hi, I've inherited a Kontrol49 that does not start. Only the little black columns on the windows above the sliders.

I have a Mac (OS 10.4.11) and GarageBand. I've downloaded and installed the driver and tried to get the updater to update, but no go.

I always get the message that the USB port is drawing too much power, so I plug in the AC power adapter.

I'm stuck.

Any ideas?
