There's about as much truth to that as you owning 48 Tritons.Sina172 wrote:

200K and they can have the forum too.jojo wrote:It seems that the powers that be have been very busy as of late.
Since 2009, we've seen the lay offs of many people at Korg. I won't name names... but..
Rumors are surfacing that Avid and Nord are each in talks with Korg to complete an acquisition of the company.
That's right. Down the road, your Korg could really be a Nord (great products) or Avid (producers of such fine crap as M-Audio).

Your right, I'll have to give myself verbal warning that I'll throw myself out of the forum if I do that again. Meet Sina at Namm and nearly choked when he started taking the same way face to face.that's naughty. Naughty. Bad Sharp, bad!
Unmarked bills down a dark alleyway will do nicely.I presume that's is cash, not "keybed lending" as in the Yamaha/Korg security lending, right?

Regards
Sharp.
s**t!Sharp wrote:Unmarked bills down a dark alleyway will do nicely.
Ther's this container full of mint condition, unmarked, unregistered, unlocked, no s/n, very rare semiweighted 76 keys Kronos prototypes I'd like to trade...
The chinese factory which produced them by mistake gave them for peanuts to a guy who gave them to a guy who lost them at poker with a guy who knows my cousin.
I got them for two containers of left-only shoes.
Think about it.

I'm more surprised that he actually admitted to his handle!
Current Korg Gear: KRONOS 88 (4GB), M50-73 (PS mod), RADIAS-73, Electribe MX, Triton Pro (MOSS, SCSI, CF, 64MB RAM), SQ-64, DVP-1, MEX-8000, MR-1, KAOSSilator, nanoKey, nanoKontrol, 3x nanoPad 2, 3x DS1H, 7x PS1, FC7 (yes Korg, NOT Yamaha).
indeed somebody told me that in person he is more factual and rational:McHale wrote:I'm more surprised that he actually admitted to his handle!
When not protected by a computer screen, he calls himself Sina43 (that's the number of his keyboards), not "172".
That 75% downsizing is his best "strong and silent Spartan" impersonation.
Ha! What makes that a GIANT innovation?EvilDragon wrote:Bullshit. Kronos is the first ever workstation to include direct-from-disk sample streaming from onboard SSD. That's a GIANT innovation in the field of synthesizer workstations, right there.Bachus wrote:I must agree that there is not a single piece of innovation in KRONOS.
Disk streaming isn't that dissimilar having conventional RAM inside a sampler.
Sorry, no, better luck next time........

When you could have done a video interview of this energetic fuzzball with a fuse about to pop......

What.... Total s**t???

Well maybe it wasn't actually thee "Sina"......given he has multiples of everything else that probably includes disguises too.....

Here's one of them.....

I almost fell out of my seat reading that. It's so true! I can't wait for the Kronos OS 1.1 update... 2 years from now. Or perhaps they'll release another model with it preinstalled, erroneously dubbing it the M4! Hahaozy wrote: korg taking over toyota = toyota would sell 3-wheel Lexus promising to upgrade them to 4 wheels but lather welsh on the promise. 4-wheel lexus would later be released under the "corolla" name at half the price, and with an extra discount - but no discount for loyal lexus customers.
If they did buy Toyota, though, I think they'd probably put the Corolla's engine in a Kei Car, and advertise it as the best of of the Corolla distilled into a more affordable package - but only have 2 U.S. service centers!

On a more somber note, though, it pains me to have to have written my initial post - I wish I'd never found out myself. But this is serious.

well, jojo, if it's true, where's the "pain"?jojo wrote:it pains me to have to have written my initial post - I wish I'd never found out myself. But this is serious.
It's good that you wrote it here. You did a service to the korg user community.
Of course, without details and verification, a jocular tone prevailed,
but your point has been taken.
I'm with Hedegaard on this one, Sharp. A huge opportunity - lost.Hedegaard wrote:And instead you took photos and videos of the Kronos?Sharp wrote:... Meet Sina at Namm and nearly choked when he started taking the same way face to face.

korg being sold??
I've owned
24 TRITON Classics
4 TRITON Studios
2 TRITON Extremes
4 TRITON Le's
all within 1999-2010
it isn't hard to believe someone can own all of those boards....
I didn't have them all AT THE SAME TIME.
But I used them to sample other synths, sold the TRITON (XXX)
to get another exotic synth, sampled it, got another TRITON to
expand my synth/sample library.
Now I have a KORG M3 with expanded memory to load ALL of the BEST samples I've collected from 1999-2011. (KORG format)
oh... & now I am on my 2nd KORG M3.
People can go thru a synth in a day. It' is VERY easy for ME to believe someone when the say " Ive owned 48 Tritons..."
Hell, look at YANNI... he had FOUR KORG TRITON STUDIO's on stage live when all he needed was just ONE to run everything!
KORG IS NOT GOING TO SELL ITSELF, PLUS THEY ARE DOING GREAT FROM MY POINT OF VIEW...
KORG FOREVER!
But if they do... I will cry for a whole year!
