iOS 4.3

Post by jdoo »

Am interested to know, if this update broke the iMS-20 functionality for anyone else? In my case - the program goes night-night (shuts down) any time I click on "Browse" under sound presets.

Same here.
On Browse the application crashes.
On Save it notifies: unresolved error (259) - close the application
and crashes subsequently.

Confirmed - same here. Tap 'Browse' and the iMS20 closes.

Actually -- regarding the 'before i can complain' part... :)

I participate in the iOS (Apple) development program and hit this bug two weeks ago. Was unable to use the iMS-20 since loading the developer version of 4.3. Korg issued the bug fix with the 'official' release of this version - to which I am thankful. Hopefully, they weren't too put off my 'complaining' to them over email exchanges, these last two weeks. :)

hi, what version update are u referring to?

could this update be v1.2.0?

if so it appears to have completely wiped all my user files, ie: the drum sounds id made, the synth sounds i'd made, all but the sessions have gone, and worse still, the sessions dont let me load any of the sounds used in them, the sessions sound right, but the files are not listed in the browser at all.

this is weakening

I have not updated to iOS 4.3 and won't until after a gig tomorrow
but I have a question for those of you on 4.2 or 4.3.

When I load one of my Sessions from the browser, the sequencer
immediately starts playing - even though it was saved with the sequencer
turned off. This is very unfortunate for live performances and I need to
remember to turn down the volume switch on the iPad's side whenever
loading a new session, then turn off the sequencer, then use the
volume switch to bring it back up.

Does anyone else have this same problem?
If Yes or No - what iOS are you using?
Thanks!

Yes, it looks like it does it by default it's really annoying, I think it should be changed in an update to give us the option in preferences.

Heya, to be fair, I was running IOS 4.2, and now I've upped to 4.3
All my files are actually still there. So it looks like some bugs were
Affecting my directories too, not causing crashes but hiding any user created
Content below session level.

Dear Korg , please improve the saving of user files so we cam save and export the synth file, drum file and pattern files or them as bundles to our computers.

Just downloaded the iMS-20 and...

Post by grooveguv »

I am using an ipad2 with iOS 4.3.5, iMS20 version is 1.5.1 according to iTunes. Whenever I try to browse the presets, I get the dreaded "Unresolved Error 259 Quit the Application" message, although it doesn't crash, I can return to the main screen.

Does anybody else have this problem? Can it be fixed?

Thanks for all the help...

I am running the latest iMS20 on an iPad 2 with iOS 4.3.5 and do not see this problem at all. I have two iPads and it does not happen on either one. Both are 64G and one has 3G and one has WIFI only. I have saved some of my own presets but not a huge number of them. Do you have a very large list of presets you have defined? I am just speculating on what might be the most obvious difference in our environment.

I have just downloaded the software, I have no presets that I have defined. The model is an ipad2 3G 32GB, and I seem to have ample space. I have restarted, shut down and rebooted, but I'm getting the same message every time. It doesn't happen with patterns or songs, but with patches. Weird...
