Hi!
I just got a K Pro, and so far having alot of fun with it...
I have 1 issue where I think I have done something wrong but cant seem to get back to how it was. Out of the box, I have NO problems--- a few hours later, my recordings were coming back quieter than playing the pad, what has happened here? It seemed to coincide with me inserting a mic to try out the Vocoder patches, but what did I do? there is a definite drop in volume from when I take my finger off to hearing the loop.
I also have a couple of annoyances, I wonder if Korg is doing any updates, or if they are known for making software improvements..
1. No undo... when you record/overdub and f*** it up...
2. I dont get the reason why there basically 2 ways to record... press and hold a loop button, or press record then select a loop button... is there a reason for this?
3.quantised replace... it would be nice to be able to record snippets into the loop, using the quantising of the arpegiator... Or one shot quantised "punch ins" where you hit delete and loop and play new input but have the recording period quantise to a timed amount...
I have a few other improvements,, questions, but I guess I leave it for now... just hoping to chat with some other users about approaches and opinions...

Maybe you've a low volume for the loop set? Hold the SHIFT button, and push the loop bank button - it should display the levels for each loop bank.markfrancombe wrote:I have 1 issue where I think I have done something wrong but cant seem to get back to how it was. It's useful when you've got something going through the KPro. When you push the RECORD button, you're basically recording everything that you hear from the output, i.e. things you play on the XY pad, as well as the audio from the audio in input (or mic). When you hold down the loop bank button to record, you record only the XY pad action.markfrancombe wrote: 2. It's useful in a live situation, when you want separate tracks to enable them alternately (A/B/C/D + Audio In). Sounds more complicated when written than in real life

Thanks Lukas... Im SURE thats it... I just found the track level thingys too.. Im sure I will get my head around the recording functions, but that and erase I found initailly a bit funky.. sometimes I erases some audio, sometimes I wiped the whole track..
I also found the WISHLIST thread here.. so I can see that some other suggestions are there...
I wonder what they all mean about "Bring back the arp patternes" Was this a feature that they REMOVED??? Or a feature that was on the regular kaosilator and never made it into the PRO?

It's on the original Kaossilator, but is not on the KPro. Go figure.markfrancombe wrote:I wonder what they all mean about "Bring back the arp patternes" Was this a feature that they REMOVED??? Or a feature that was on the regular kaosilator and never made it into the PRO?
Never had the original Kaossilator, so I don't know what is it exactly that's missing

Cheers,

Tragically, the arp patterns on the original Kaossilator are one of the best and most important features on it. I used them for nearly every loop I ever created on it, as it made for much more interesting rhythmic patterns that you could keep in perfect sync when changing between them without missing a beat. I still think it's the worst WTF backwards step I've ever seen Korg do for a new product when they made the KoPro and left that feature off. I'm still friggen pissed about it. I miss that everytime I touch my KoPro.
