MC303 -> KOPRO -> KP3

Post by Gow »

Hi everyone.

I wonder if anyone can help with this little problem.

When I connect my MC-303 to my KOPRO with it's MIDI clock set to "EXT" changing the tempo on the MC-303 changes the tempo on the KOPRO just as expected, however when i then connect my KOPRO on to my KP3 changing the tempo only works on the MC-303 and KOPRO but not the KP3? the KP3's MIDI clock has been set to "EXT".

It's like the MIDI clock leaves to MC-303 gets to the KOPRO and stops there? the KP3 doesn't get the clock info?

Anyone got any ideas on this?

Thanks in advance.

Neither the KP3, nor the KPro have MIDI thru, so the signal stops with the KPro. If the MC-303 has MIDI thru (I don't know - never had one), you could try to rearrange the chain, so it's in the middle (with the KPro or the KP3 set as master), I guess.

the MC-303 has no MIDI THRU either

you'd need a midi thru box to sync the three of them together
