light to moderate hissing sound

Post by ianhead88 »

I'm a pround new owner of the SV-1. Has anyone had any trouble with the piano sounds not being as "crisp" as expected? I don't notice this when plugged into the headphones, but when plugged into a nice set of powered reference monitors I hear small bit of static sound when playing any given note. The sound occurs on both left and right channels and it's connected with new XLR cables. I tested this with another set of studio monitors and it's still present. I suspect it has to do with the tube-amp since I don't hear through studio-quality headphones. Any advice? Anyone notice something similar? Maybe replacing the tube will help...otherwise probably just a bi-product of the tubes?? thx, ian
