All-Access Party :: Reports
Can't wait to hear the reactions from some of you who will be attending one of the parties. The party I'm attending isn't for a month. Early May.

I'm of two minds about this. On the one hand, I'd love to be able to hear (and maybe even play around with) the Kronos in person. On the other, I'm not much of a player, so I always get real self-conscious in music stores. I can't just sit down and bang out a sonata, or something. All I can do is plink around like a kid.
And it's really not like I need to be convinced that the Kronos is worth my money... I'm getting one, anyway.

So I'm not alone! That is exactly the way I feel. Quite self-conscious playing solo in a music store. Give me a stage and a band. As well.. I'm completely convinced anyway. Just wanna be a part of something fun.Citizen Klaus wrote:4/28 out here.EnjoyRC wrote:Can't wait to hear the reactions from some of you who will be attending one of the parties. just got back from KRONOS demo in NYC by Rich. I made some videos. I will upload them soon.
Really enjoyed and met some nice people.
KRONOS Sounds amazing. Rich, deep, smooth, detailed, and crisp. My favorite... Mod-7 and STR1, and the new ambience drums.

I was at the first one in Maryland on Wednesday. Youtube is great, but there is nothing like hearing Rich play his signature orchestral combi theme in person.
Well, he does have some new ones and they were really fun to listen too as well. I left with a new appreciation for the Set List after the good discussion on it.
The Korg folks were nice and stayed around to let us ask questions, "touch" and play Kronos 61. It looks really good in person I must add. I am happy to be one of the first to experience it in-person and certainly it pacified me while I wait for my Kronos-73 to ship!

I've tried, but I just can't stop playing that Orcheatra & Timpani Combi. It's just too much fun.

I was at the Sam Ash demo with Rich playing yesterday...
For about an hour, we threw him question after question ranging in all topics...and he barely blinked. Rich - you know your stuff inside and out...and it totally shows!
And, btw, thanks for playing the songs that you did on 'John Williams Patch 001'...I had them in my head THE ENTIRE NIGHT.
Can't wait for my 88 to ship!
