Soundpacks crib

Post by davidt »

I'm still finding my way around the soundpacks and am finding this homemade chart useful to supplement the documentation of each pack.
I thought I'd share it. The names are taken from the .sv1 files.

I don't really understand why the Favourites area is used for the unique split tones in Soundpack2. I'd have thought those buttons were really reserved for players own selections. How have you managed this? Have you moved the split sounds you want to keep to somewhere else?

Hope you find this useful

David Thomas

thanks davidt,Looks like sound pack 2 is the first time Korg gave you more than the 36 patches ,with all new sounds in the favourites section, instead of doubles. I guess Korg added the bass splits last and had no other place to put them .Good news is with the editor you can move any sound anywhere! Thanks again for the list, I just printed it out!!

patches

Id really appreciate what the other organs and that in the other sound packs are based on... like what's the ideal organ setting patch for green onions or gimme some lovin etc.
Something to make me seem more intelligent than I actually am.
