I have a KORG ZERO 8 (newest version 1.60), everything works perfectly on it except the A and B blue led's on channels 3, and 4 during full MIDI mode. The blue A/B led's just wont come on.
I was wondering if anyone has engineer experience with fixing LED lights on the KORG ZERO 4 or 8 series. In channel 3 & 4, they do light up orange when the Audio/MIDI knob is turned to that section as well as the rest of the modes.
The function of the A and B however does still work, but both buttons do not light up blue, like the other buttons on all the other channels of the ZERO 8.
What kind of problem could this be? I've reset factory settings but no change, went in with my computer to toggle them, but no change to the offending A/B blue light off mystery.
Could it be Soldering, Firmware issue, anyone else have similar issue that got their LED's working again? Let me know, thanks!

To get things clear for me:
- Do you get a midi signal from those knobs in midi mode?
- Won't the lights also not light up during the startup sequence?
The service mode from the service manual also has a program to test the leds I believe.
If you want to check if the leds still work, you can also check the voltage with a multimeter, but you'll probably have to disassemble the whole fader unit...
I haven't looked at the service manual, but my first thought would be the leds are defective, the led on/off switch would also be connected to the on/off in analogue mode as well as midi mode, but I could be wrong.

Yes I get midi signals from those knobs in midi mode.
The specific a/b blue lights, in the 2 channel module do not light up even when it starts up.
I gave in and did recently unscrew and detach the module itself to see if the ribbon connection was lose, but nothing was lose, all was ok, also compared it with the first module as well, no glue gunk, didn't look like anything was damaged visibly on the offending module circuit board itself.
I have concluded that there is some kind of hardware issue with the channels 3/4 module itself, Korg has not gotten back to me about the subject haha, they really should. Just forward it to someone that was responsible for the Zero 8 line..not that hard. I will keep emailing them.
Question is now is what can Korg do about it, maybe sell me a whole module (2 channels/with 2 fader module) so I can simply replace it myself, since it is really easy to just disconnect it from the underlying circuit board via ribbon. Or do I just have to buy another one from Ebay haha, and just quickly swap out the part. I am NOT going to attempt though to see if the first module containing channels 1/2 works on the 3/4 though..with working a/b lights. I don't know much about the Zero 8 from a engineer/firmware standpoint to do so. not sure if the module was made specifically for channels 3/4 and programmed just for it.
I'm surprised how well Korg designed the Zero 8 internally, everything is easy to reach or fix if need be. PLEASE GET BACK TO ME KORG!

My bad! The fader module buttons don't light up during the start-up sequence.
I don't see the service manual diagrams mentioning 4 different fader modules, so these should be the same.
Would also make the unit unnecessary expensive if the fader units aren't swappable, that would mean they will have to return to the vendor/factory for a swap.
