Until a few days ago I had a R3. I sold it because I want a Radias.
The question is - should I go for the complete Radias with keys or should I just go for the rack-version?
As far as I remember the key-version leaves space for mounting the Kaoss-pad next to the Radias-engine, right??
How is the quality of the keys on the Radias-keyboard? Are they semi-weighted with aftertouch? I wasn't impressed with the R3 keys...
I've had the kybd since they first came out - they had a misprint on the price so it was just over $100. I like it, couldn't care less about aftertouch on the Radias as I have other analogue bds. with it. If you can find one for a good price go for it, as for feel it is one hell of a lot better than my miniD - I actually like it so each his or hers own. In my current 3 tiered stand I have a Juno 60 on bottom, P 08 in the middle and the Radias on the top tier. The other 2kybds are a CS80 (desperate need of refurbishing) and Fantom X6.

Same story here..... It is a great keyboard that completes the radias R...
It requires no external power, and doesnt eat up any midi connections, and independently interacts with the timbre select buttons and octave switching buttons, which Midi boards don't do...
It does Velocity, with full sise keys.... not those short alesis ion/micron style keys... and is a fast action synth board... I also have a CS80 and a Haken Continuum a Quadrasynth and SQ80 , so aftertouch is not really that necessary for me with those around...
Time Can be Mastered,
"NOW" is the Password....
Currently running, Hammond M3, Yamaha CS80 + MM6, Roland JX-3P + Mkb 1000 + Vk7 + D110, Alesis Quadrasynth plus, Haken Continuum fingerboard, Korg Radias + Lambda, Ensoniq SQ80, Waldorf Blofeld, Creamware Prodyssey + B4000, Use Audio Plugiator, Arp Axxe ....and some soft synths.
Thanks for your replies - there is a Radias-r on its way from UK to me in DK. The shipping cost is more reasonable when the size of the package is limited. In DK there are only few Radias synths so I needed to turn to Ebay to find my Radias. I look very much forward to receiving it and getting to know it well.

Excellent choice! "but I may be biased"
I used to play Korg instruments, then I took an arrow to the knee.
