COPYING TIMBRES
Anyone know if you can "Copy" a timbre from one Program and "Paste" it into a Timber slot in another Program on the Radias? When I create a new Program and add a Timber, I only get the option of using an Oscillator from the Oscillator 1 section. I thought I'd have a choice of all the Timbers used in other preset Combis.

That doesn't apply to the Radias. Each timbre can be turned on/off individually.xmlguy wrote:You have to set the program to Layer or Split to enable the second timbre.
When you turn a timbre 'on' there is a page under 'Common' where you can scroll through all the timbres from other programs. And if you go right past the end you can select timbres from the 'templates' selection.
I will have a look in a bit to confirm the exact procedure if you like. You highlight the timbre name and scroll through using the alpha wheel. There is also probably a utility menu function for this.

As of right now I use the way that x-trade describe and will save a timbre on another pattern if I'm using something from an editor library. I would love to be able to build patterns from within the editor, copying timbres from one pattern to another and placing them in the specific timbre i want them on the pattern I'm working on. Right now I have to transfer a pattern to my Radias, save it, and then go back to the timbre I'm working on to use x-trade's method to put the new timbre into my existing pattern.
Is there a way to do this? vicz talked about using the editor but can i use it to manage timbres and move them between patterns, or is it just good for moving patterns? If I could copy a timbre and then paste it where i want it on a different pattern my work flow would be much more efficient.

Good to know about the copy timbre option in the utility section, but ideally I would like to be able to do it via computer. The copy timbre still requires me to move a pattern/timbre from my cpu to a blank pattern to then copy the timbre i want to move to the pattern I'm working on. I get along fine with this method but if i could copy a timbre from a pattern to a timbre on another inside the editor it would save me some time and allow me to copy and continue working without a min or two of copying timbres on the machine.

In the editor you should see a little 'target' icon next to each timbre. you can use that to drag timbres between open programs.
Same with anywhere else you see that icon for example for sequencer patterns, FX, etc.

Thank You X-trade. I've often wondered about that but just thought it was aesthetic. That makes my life much easier. Can check one thing off the long list of things to figure out.
