Help! How to transfer presets/sounds to RADIAS for MAC??

Post by ix4 »

I recently bought a used RADIAS from a fellow forum member, but many of the original presets that came on the synth were deleted. Since there's no "reset to factory settings" option on the RADIAS, i am trying to figure out how to get all the original preset sounds back onto the synth??

I have a MAC and i have downloaded both the radias sound editor and mac driver but theres no sign of my macbook finding the radias when i plug the usb in, etc.

Is there any step by step tutorial on this forum/on korg's site that tells exactly how to sample the presets from the computer and transfer sounds I like back to the radias?

I have been told its pretty tricky, but easy once you get the hang of it. I checked the manual and there wasnt any direct instruction on how to do this so I am hoping fellow radias/mac users here have some insight

Thanks for any help!!

Once you have the drivers installed, the Radias should be detected as a MIDI device. You can check this in the mac utility "Audio & MIDI Setup".

Also, if you're running OS 2.0 on the Radias, make sure you get the sound editor from the upgrade package download, not the sound editor that is available to download standalone. The editor which you download off the site on its own is typically the v1.0 one and does not support the additional 2.0 modulation destinations and other features.

Finally, there IS an on-device factory restore option.
Simply go to GLOBAL mode, and PAGE+ along to 'P03: Preload'. Select 'All Data', and scroll down to change 'Sure' from 'No' to 'Yes'. Now press EDIT/YES.
