Sharp asked this in the formal petition thread:
From another perspective it seems the same happens now, too. I mean prospective Kronos buyers get for *almost* free what OASYS users had to pay for - namely the LAC-1, MOD-7 and EXs3.
Maybe I'm wrong. But I would like to know how much does the above 3 options cost *now* in Kronos. Can we estimate it compared to the full price of the instrument?
I didn't want to make a mess there so I answer here:Sharp wrote:Why should people get for free what others including myself had to pay for?

Well, everybody can have those EXi's for free - you just have to buy a Kronos.
Sorry - couldn't resist the temptation.
What surprises me more is that there are Oasys users who didn't buy those EXi's when they were launched. I mean ... how could one resist MOD7?
I bought all of them. Therefore I've ambiguous feelings about watching others getting them for free for their Oasys now (without any discount for me or others that paid the full price). But I understand the resentment - now that Kronos offers them for free. Obviously Korg has no problem "separating" the two deals: If you bought an Oasys and want them you've got to pay. If you buy Kronos it is for free.
Gusfmm, I understand your "If I go to hell you have to go there too" comparison. But perhaps you can understand the ambiguous feelings of original buyers too.

I much appreciate your posting here.
I do understand and respect such feelings as I have personally experienced a similar situation, something I briefly explained earlier in this tread. I'd have expected any reaction would have been to KORG, as this tread has intended.Charlie wrote: Gusfmm, I understand your "If I go to hell you have to go there too" comparison.
