Wavestation SR

Post by ponderc »

The last hardware implementation of the Wavestation was a 1-unit rackmount model. It lacked the A/D inputs of its predecessor, the screen was downsized to a character-based 16×2 LCD, and most buttons, function keys, and the joystick disappeared. Marketed as a preset module, it featured eight ROM preset banks with Patches and Performances previously sold on expansion cards from Korg and Sound Source Unlimited, Inc. Without an external MIDI sound editor, programming was a very difficult task due to the small display, although all parameters can be edited from the panel.

I don't get it.
What's the goal for copy and pasting excerpts from wikipedia?

Is this just to built post count? For later, more serious spamming?
I used to play Korg instruments, then I took an arrow to the knee.

I think you'll find that later down the line, the user will edit the post or edit their signature such that it includes links to sites. From there, it will get indexed by search crawlers and other bots and the pagerank of the linked sites will go up.

Thanks for the information. I'm a mod at a different site, and wondered how this type of thing would play out.
Cheers Hanon
