e8ay is a fairly consistent reference for used equipment prices.
I did a "completed listings" search to see what pre-owned M50 61 have sold for,
they seem to average around $725 USD
I also took a look at active listings with a "buy it now" price.
I currently have 4 choices less than $750
I'm not endorsing buying and selling on e8ay, just saying that when haggling over the price of used gear, it's an argument that frequently comes up.
The buying and selling area of this forum is a good place to start.
