Ok so I had my TR packed away for about a month and decided to bring it out and play it. When I turned it on, this is how the screen looked:
Its not a huge deal as the screen is still readable but does anyone know how it can be fixed? Is it a bad solider joint? I can't seem to find replacement screens anywhere, I don't know how it could have happened as the keyboard has never fallen or been banged around or anything. I take really good care of it. Thanks for your help.

Tim

$100 not worth it for only one line going through screen. I am gonna try to open up the TR this weekend see if maybe its a lose wire or something. Just wondering if anyone else has had any expirience with this and may have some tips aside from getting a replacement as its not worth it unless the screen becomes worse. Thanks.

It could have happened because of your cold room temperature.
However, it is not big deal obviously and I would not recommend you to dig your TR inside (or let someone to), because it is very complicated to take out boards and even more complicated job is to put them back, believe me.
Wire has nothing to do with.

Thanks for the reply. As stated before its not that bad now with only one line. But I am concerned it will prgressivley get worse. Someone said in the trinity section to grab some contact cleaner adn clean all the contacts as this solves and prevents many problems. I have worked with electronics for many years so I am not worried about taking it apart if needed. I have taken the N364 apart before and will need to again when I get a new backlight for its screen. Although someone did say the LE/TR series is a bit more difficult than some of the other models.

Ok so I got some contact cleaner over the weekend and opened up the TR and clean the conectors for the wire that feeds the screen. SO I got good news and bad news.
Bad News: Despite my attempts to clean the contacts, there were no improvments in the screen. The same line is still there so it would appear that the screen is deffective. I just hope it doesnt get worse.
Good News: Aside from the line still being in the screen, I successfully disassembeled and reassembeled the TR88 and everything works fine! So I guess if the screen DOES become bad enough to where I am forced to replace it, I will know how to do so.
Just wanted to put that out there for anyone else who has an LE/TR Karma or Triton Rack as the all use the same screen. If your screen develops lines like above, it will most likely need replacing.

I have a Triton Rack and every now and then when I turn on the unit the screen will be dim, no lines thru it, just dim, I then have to go into the LCD brightness adjustment section to adjust the brightness to an acceptable level, anyone have any clues why this happens? Is there a batter inside the Triton Rack that needs to perhaps be replaced, since it no longer retains current settings of the unit when it is turned off? Thanks for any help.
