I've been using my R3 for quite a while now, on stage and in the studio. Most of the presets have long been replaced by custom sounds which I'd like to back up now on my mac using the Sound Editor software. I'm paranoid about losing sounds by doing something wrong in the editor software, as often with a spot on synth-sound - there's just no replacing or recreating it once it's gone.
I'd be very thankful for instructions on how to go about copying my R3 sounds onto my mac while avoiding any data loss or accidental overwrites or factory resets
I somehow wasn't able to find a Sound Editor manual, any help is greatly appreciated!!

Hello Ben,
Welcome to the forum!
The R3 editor manual should have been installed as an html file with the editor.
Here's some excerpts:
In order to use the R3 Sound Editor to edit programs, you must first receive the current programs from the R3 synthesizer into the R3 Sound Editor using the following procedure.
From the File menu, choose "New" to create a new library.
In the Library window, click the [PROGRAM] button to access the Program page.
From the MIDI menu, chosse "Receive All" When the confirmation dialog box appears, click [OK].
Don't operate the R3 synthesizer while data is being transmitted or received.
Once you have the contents of your R3 in the editor software the save it as a New Library.
Saving a library
From the File menu, choose "Save" to overwrite the library file you previously opened. If it's a new library, the Save Library dialog box will open. Specify a save-destination, type the desired file name, and click the [Save] button to save the library data.
I hope this helps.
Cheers, Hanon
