SPLIT question

Post by iordanid »

Hi everyone i'm new in this forum. i'd like a little help. How can i split 2 or 3 layers to pa1xpro? I read the manual and it says that can be only one split.
Is this true? I want to split the 3 upper layers and i cannot find how to do it

Not sure why you would want to split the 3 upper layers. If its for quick access to 3 different sounds then I think using the STS buttons would work better. If you use the use the STS's you could also assign a different split point in each one if needed.
Having said that it is actually possible to set up your keyboard with 3 or more different sounds allocated to different sections of the keyboard but its a little complicated if you are not familiar with editing in sound mode.
You would go to sound mode, limit the key range of the first sound (menu, basic, Vel/Key Zone) change keyboard range to where you want this sound to apply. Then you would need to change the oscillator count under Sound Basic and copy the next sound you need to the new oscillators etc. then write this as a user sound.

I found the way to do it with another way. Style play -> Pressing 'shift' with 'enseble' button you can have access to 'key velocity'. There are 'top key' and 'bottom key' for each layer. Very usefull for me.
Anyway thanks for you answer.
